The 7th annual TPN awards dinner was held on Saturday 11th May at the Hinckley Island Hotel, Leicestershire.
A party from Burcombe Haulage took up the invitation to attend and all were delighted when Burcombe was nominated for two awards being the Delivery Depot of the year and Individual Contribution of the Year.
Proof if it were needed of the value that Burcombe Haulage is adding to the TPN experience.
Following on from our new 8w tipper, we announce that our new 6w DAF tipper is now on the road. Similar to other tippers within the fleet this CF75, 360 hp DAF is fitted with all the specifications necessary to enable it to meet the day to day requirements of life on the road.
Please leave feedback if you see one of our new 13 reg tippers on the road!
We are proud to announce that the first of our replacement warehouses is now complete and in operational use.
The warehouse is 75ft x 105ft and the photo at the top of this page has our tippers neatly arranged in the facility.
Replacement warehouse number two to be started shortly.
Working closely with Ted Coryton, owner of Pentillie Castle, we have just completed the construction of a series of tracks to aid movement of vehicles and to improve access.
This was in time for the Castle’s most recent Garden Open Day on the 21st April when the tracks were used for the first time.
For before and after photos of the tracks at Pentillie Castle please go to the Gallery page.
Burcombe Haulage is proud to announce a new addition to the fleet, on the road April. After the success of previous 6 wheel DAF tippers, management have decided to introduce an 8 wheel DAF to the ever growing fleet. The CF85, 410 hp sleeper cab is showing great potential when facing daily challenges.
A Burcombe Haulage sweeper has helped to prepare the set for the filming of Doc Martin’s wedding.
The scene was to be filmed at Alternun and the programme is due to be shown later in 2013.
Easter Saturday sees the second East Cornwall Point to Point at Great Trethew near Liskeard and Burcombe Haulage will again be on duty with one of its sweepers to clean up once all racegoers have left the course.
This service is donated twice annually as the Hunt has two meetings, usually at the end of February and the end of March.
We are proud of our links with the local community and we recently donated a swing shovel and driver to work on an extension to the St Dominick Post Office car park.
We worked with the Parish Council to develop the car park which in turn will encourage use of the Post Office at a time when local facilities require support.
