Burcombe Haulage are delighted to announce acquisition of Callywith Quarry in Bodmin and the unveiling of Callycombe Aggregates Ltd.
Callycombe will compliment Burcombe’s construction sector and tippers, providing trade and private customers with quality cut or crushed natural Cornish stone for house building, masonry walling, Cornish hedging, general and decorative aggregate.
We are excited for the future and see this as a positive move and benefit to the continued success of both Burcombe and Callywith Quarry.

Burcombe are proud to sponsor St Mellion’s new Boot Camp classes, providing a container full of various sandbag weights, truck and tractor tyres, battle ropes and sledgehammers for their popular outdoor training sessions.
Burcombe’s very own Carina, Nic and new company recruit Helen Manley took on a very hot Plymouth Half Marathon at the weekend, raising money for 10 charities as part of Caradon Hockey Club’s 10-4-10 charity campaign this year.
The Caradon team have raised almost £1,500 with offline cash amounts still to be counted.

Olympic gold medallist Kate Richardson-Walsh OBE grabbed a lift in one of our lorries as she paid a visit to Burcombe sponsored Caradon Hockey Club.
The former TeamGB and England hockey captain was driven to Caradon’s match by Burcombe Director Carina Hodge, who is also Chair of the hockey club. Transporting the precious load of a Rio Gold and London Bronze Olympic medals, Kate said it was a dream realised and an experience she’d never forget!
With RCS less than a month away the final preparations are underway to ensure the new vehicles are gleaming and ready for show day – 7th, 8th and 9th June. Further details to follow.
Burcombe Haulage were proud to welcome Launceston Young Farmers club last month, discussing the history of Burcombe over a coffee and pasty! Other farm tours included Liskeard and Callington YFC.

Members from the office team kindly helped with the village litter picking campaign on Saturday. The cold conditions did not dampen the spirits and with a combined effort over 15 full bags of rubbish were collected – Don’t Litter it makes the world bitter!
